What do you mean debunked? It was NOT debunked. In fact, it has just recently been confirmed. Please, see this research paper - https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0.pdf – for men <40, dose 2 and dose 3 of Pfizer have more myocarditis than sars-cov-2 infection, and this is true for dose 1 and dose 2 of Moderna. Also, Pfizer boosters (Dose 3) have more myocarditis for men <40 than infection.

Abstract Although myocarditis and pericarditis were not observed as adverse events in coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) vaccine trials, there have been numerous reports of suspected cases following vaccination in the general population. We undertook a self-controlled case series study of people aged 16 or older vaccinated for COVID-19 in England between 1 December 2020 and 24 August 2021 to investigate hospital admission or death from myocarditis, pericarditis and cardiac arrhythmias in the 1–28 days following adenovirus (ChAdOx1, n = 20,615,911) or messenger RNA-based (BNT162b2, n = 16,993,389; mRNA-1273, n = 1,006,191) vaccines or a severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) positive test ( n = 3,028,867). We found increased risks of myocarditis associated with the first dose of ChAdOx1 and BNT162b2 vaccines and the first and second doses of the mRNA-1273 vaccine over the 1–28 days postvaccination period, and after a SARS-CoV-2 positive test. We estimated an extra two (95% confidence interval (CI) 0, 3), one (95% CI 0, 2) and six (95% CI 2, 8) myocarditis events per 1 million people vaccinated with ChAdOx1, BNT162b2 and mRNA-1273, respectively, in the 28 days following a first dose and an extra ten (95% CI 7, 11) myocarditis events per 1 million vaccinated in the 28 days after a second dose of mRNA-1273. This compares with an extra 40 (95% CI 38, 41) myocarditis events per 1 million patients in the 28 days following a SARS-CoV-2 positive test. We also observed increased risks of pericarditis and cardiac arrhythmias following a positive SARS-CoV-2 test. Similar associations were not observed with any of the COVID-19 vaccines, apart from an increased risk of arrhythmia following a second dose of mRNA-1273. Subgroup analyses by age showed the increased risk of myocarditis associated with the two mRNA vaccines was present only in those younger than 40.

observations by providing clinical review to ensure robust case ascertainment22 and reporting investigations and outcomes in individual patients with myocarditis following the BNT162b2 vaccine23. Witberg et al.21,22 observed a small excess in events 3–5 days following the second dose of BNT162b2 vaccine, but most were mild presentations and just one classified as fulminant22. Mevorach et al. observed an incidence ratio of 5.34 for myocarditis in 5,442,696 persons following BNT162b2, although this was attenuated when restricted to the 136 definite and probable cases of myocarditis23. Risk of myocarditis was restricted to males under the age of 40 years and only observed following the second dose. Similarly, two studies from the United States have reported an incident rate ratio of 2.7 for myocarditis in the 10 days following the second dose of both mRNA vaccines24 and an estimated 6.3 and 10.1 extra cases per million doses in the 1- to 21-day period following the first and second dose of both mRNA vaccines, respectively, in those younger than 40 years25. And conclude: > In summary, this population-based study quantifies for the first time the risk of several rare cardiac adverse events associated with three COVID-19 vaccines as well as SARS-CoV-2 infection. Vaccination for SARS-CoV-2 in adults was associated with a small increase in the risk of myocarditis within a week of receiving the first dose of both adenovirus and mRNA vaccines, and after the second dose of both mRNA vaccines. By contrast, SARS-CoV-2 infection was associated with a substantial increase in the risk of hospitalization or death from myocarditis, pericarditis and cardiac arrhythmia.
Here's another one, published in Nature Medicine: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0 I haven't read it beyond the abstract.
> "This is the figure, and it shows really clearly, that when you look at myocarditis just in this group, men under the age of 40, it is crystal clear, pfizer dose 2, pfizer dose 3, moderna dose 1, moderna dose 2, have rates of myocarditis greater than the rate of myocarditis post SARS-CoV-2 infection" - Vinay Prasad MD MPH ( https://youtu.be/NR_ZVzrTeYk?t=47 ) Source used by the video author from nature.com: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0.pdf
> The risks are more evenly balanced in younger persons aged up to 40 years, where we estimated the excess in myocarditis events following SARS-CoV-2 infection to be 10 per million with the excess following a second dose of mRNA-1273 vaccine being 15 per million So according to this study, if you're under 40 and have taken the Moderna vaccine, you are more likely to develop Myocarditis than after a Covid infection. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0
We read different literature: https://vinayprasadmdmph.substack.com/p/uk-now-reports-myoca... based on this Nature paper https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0.pdf "Yes, sorry to break it to you, vaccines can have risks of myocarditis EXCEEDING risks of myocarditis from infection. Pls stop saying otherwise."
I can't find much besides models for < 16 unfortunately. However, for 16-40, Patone, et al[1] estimates that myocarditis incidence is around 2/mil for AstraZeneca, 1/mil for Pfizer per does, and 6/mil for Moderna first dose, 10/mil for the second, compared to 40/mil for an active infection. Singer, el al[2] (pre-print) states that males < 20 are roughly 6x less likely to develop myocarditis from vaccination compared to an infection. The AMA[3] also has some info on both myocarditis and MIS-C. 95% of those who developed MIS-C were unvaccinated, and up to 40% required some sort of respiratory or cardiovascular life support (compare to 0% of those vaccinated). Also states…

ages 12-15 appear less likely to develop myocarditis than the 16 - ~40 range. Everything I've read so far is that myocarditis from vaccination usually resolves fairly quickly. ----- [1]: https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0.pdf [2]: https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.23.21260998v... Absolutely false as noted by the other reply to this comment. Don’t just blindly trust someone else’s comment. You can clearly see from figure 2 on page 11 that the second dose of Moderna has a higher risk than the virus. The updated preprint also shows this for Pfizer. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0.pdf https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.12.23.21268276v... (page 13) My other point on vaccine effectiveness against omicron stands as well.
Prior reports have done this examination https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0 > the increased risk of myocarditis after vaccination was higher in persons aged under 40 years. We estimated extra myocarditis events to be between 1 and 10 per million persons in the month following vaccination, which was substantially lower than the 40 extra events per million persons observed following SARS-CoV-2 infection. https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.12.23.21268276v... > Despite more myocarditis events occurring in older persons, the risk following COVID-19 vaccination was largely restricted to younger males aged less than 40 years, where the risks of…

myocarditis following vaccination and infection were similar. However, the notable exception was that in younger males receiving a second dose of mRNA-1273 vaccine, the risk of myocarditis was higher following vaccination than infection, with an additional 101 events estimated following a second dose of mRNA-1273 vaccine compared to 7 events following a positive SARS-CoV-2 test.
Isn't the correct answer to this - it depends? Neither side can make a complete blanket statement. It depends on age and which vaccine you take. For example, the risk of myocarditis is higher for ages < 40 and those who receive the Moderna vaccine. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0.pdf Vinay Prasad talks about this extensively. Here is one of his posts. It's also more of a risk for Pfizer, depending on the sex, age and dose. https://vinayprasadmdmph.substack.com/p/uk-now-reports-myoca...
I would suggest reading this paper. Patone, M., Mei, X. W., Handunnetthi, L., Dixon, S., Zaccardi, F., Shankar-Hari, M., Watkinson, P., Khunti, K., Harnden, A., Coupland, C. A. C., Channon, K. dose. The risk is higher with the 2nd Moderna dose as compare to Pfizer one. I suspect it may be due to dosing. Risk is also present with the Pfizer does but more so with the 2nd dose. Covid-19 itself can also cause Myocarditis. "The risks are more evenly balanced in younger persons aged up to 40 years, where we estimated the excess in myocarditis events following SARS-CoV-2 infection to be 10 per million with the excess following a second dose of mRNA-1273 vaccine being 15 per million." Overall, the risk is non-zero but very low compare to actual background rate of myocarditis. "The incidence of myocarditis is approximately 1.5 million cases worldwide per year. Incidence is usually estimated between 10 to 20 cases per 100,000 persons." Quoted from Kang, M., & An, J. (2021). Viral Myocarditis. In StatPearls. StatPearls Publishing. http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/books/NBK459259/ So we have 1.5 cases per 100,000 (Moderna vaccine) vs 10-20 per 100,000 (Background).
I wouldn't be so quick to jump to the conclusion that not getting covid is better than not getting the vaccine for children. There are studies coming out showing heart inflammation in younger people caused by the vaccines. We should weigh up all the info to make a properly informed decision. Trials are there for a reason after all. https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0
Yes, I know this study. Thanks. I think this is better reference https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.07.23.21260998v... These papers are not directly comparable. Singer et al paper estimates first occurrence of myocarditis without any previous cardiovascular history and without previous vaccination against COVID-19. The OP paper does not have this specification so the results of these papers are not directly comparable. In addition the Singer et al paper includes also pericarditis, myopericarditis (myocarditis and pericarditis occurring together) in addition to myocarditis. Considering that pericarditis is more prevalent in COVID-19 patients and is missing in vaccinated https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0 OP papers clearly is overestimating the difference.

"For boys 12-17 without medical comorbidities, the likelihood of post vaccination dose two cardiac adverse event is 162.2 and 94.0/million respectively. This incidence exceeds their expected 120-day COVID-19 hospitalization rate at both moderate and high COVID-19 hospitalization incidence." https://www.nature.com/articles/s41591-021-01630-0.pdf "myocarditis after vaccination was higher than myocarditis after sars-cov-2 infection for people <40"
Just answer honestly few questions. How many healthy people that died because of covid do you know personaly? How many vaccinated individuals that got covid do you personally know? Ask this questions among your family and friends and discuss it openly. I don't know where are you from, but you can check statistics about mortality by age in your country. > Our symptoms were way less than flu. Barely a sniffle. Wouldn't even know it was covid if not for at-home test. It could be omicron mutation, which has minor symptom. Vaccines was developed for alpha/delta. So again... How do you know that vaccines worked? > Nine people dead is meaningly. Not all of them are dead. But cause was made by uninformed decision, mostly because it was required to work, not from medical reasons. 6 of those people were healthy, 3 elder, 1 was born death. > How many died of covid symptoms after vaccination? How many get covid in health care/vaccination centers because it was epicenter of virus where healthy people met sick ones? > How many died…

of predictable causes of death that would have gotten them anyway? I ask same question for covid deaths. Official statistics from ministry of health says that in our country died around 60 people (from 0y to my age) that has positive PCR test during whole covid (2 years) and also covid was not necessary cause of death. Costs/benefits from vaccination is irrelevant there and my doctor agree. > Here's a pretty straightforward chart Is covid main cause of death in this chart? If so, which mutation? What is a definition of vaccinated individual? 2-3 weeks after shot? What are absolute numbers? If you are interested in subject of vaccine safety, there are plenty studies and charts that rise questions. ---- Autopsy Histopathologic Cardiac Findings in 2 Adolescents Following the Second COVID-19 Vaccine Dose https://meridian.allenpress.com/aplm/article/146/8/925/47778...
